The Real Transformers

When it comes to security and protection, the military comes first. Especially after September 11, 2003. Most of the United States’ governmental budget leans toward military spending and research, so naturally technological advancements and the manufacturing of weapons sits at the forefront of the world. So would you believe that Optimus Prime might actually exist today? ….

In the form of a tiny insect?

The thought’s even freakier if you watch that live action film version of the cool Saturday morning cartoon “G.I. Joe” and the story about the “nanomites”, supercharged termites that could take down the Sears Tower of Chicago, Illinois, in less than five minutes. Yes, believe it or not, our very own military are in research of such a robotic weapon.

An even better comparison is, in fact, in “Transformers,” showcasing those tiny transformer bots infiltrating databases within the American government, effectively hacking into the systems and taking over everything. Miniscule Decepticons, be gone!

Scary that our own military are researching that same feat. It’s the “real” transformers. Only these little babies, whenever they actually become operational, don’t have minds of their own. They’re still robots. In that we have the most insanely amazing system of security and protection. Imagine if it flew toward a consumer level. Hosting these ‘nanomite’ robots within a home security system designed to subdue an intruder? Could it work? Or would there be a danger of twitches and glitches that could inevitably cause even more damage? Pretty dangerous technology there….

People are only now discussing the repercussions of developing such technology toward a means to make it available to the public. And that technology hasn’t even been fully developed–not even fully realized. What does that mean? That this technological advancement could be a secret H-Bomb designed to overtake the whole world? Hmm…. Only John Connor could tell us. Thankfully, not Arnold Schwarzenegger!
